See what the research looks like
Real excerpts from the Florida September 2026 edition. These show the format and reasoning; they are historical examples, not a current procurement or fleet-status update.
What to look for
The source. Where a record came from. The date. When the evidence applies. The limit. What still needs checking.
This Florida example demonstrates the research format. Other state editions have their own contents and coverage.

Sustainment and support
Dated examples include Tampa’s Bell airframe-components contract, Miami-Dade’s H125 full-components airframe-support allocation, and FDLE’s aircraft-services solicitation. Contract type and stage differ by agency; recheck current status.
Replacement pressure
Miami-Dade’s H125 procurement pairs the aircraft, warranty, spares, and training with a separately priced airframe-support allocation. This is a documented lifecycle purchase; the long-term allocation is a ceiling, not money already spent.
Facilities and operating cost
A May 2025 county filing identifies a proposed $4.844 million FY2025-26 Pinellas Flight Unit budget. The 2023 Sheltair lease approval projected a separate $2.267 million FY2026 full-year facility cost; current occupancy and actual spending are unverified. Sarasota’s adopted FY2026-30 capital plan lists $4.010 million appropriated to date for a separate aviation hangar project.
Selected commercial benchmarks
